The premiere date for «Supergirl» starring the «House of the Dragon» star has been announced

New details about the movie «Supergirl,» the second film in the rebooted DC universe, have surfaced online. The premiere of the film is set to take place almost a year after the release of James Gunn's «Superman» on June 26, 2026.

It has also been revealed that the director's chair will be taken by Craig Gillespie, who directed «Cruella,» "I, Tonya," and «Lars and the Real Girl.» The screenplay will be written by Ana Nogueira, who worked on the series «The Vampire Diaries.»

The lead role will be played by Milly Alcock, who portrayed young Rhaenyra Targaryen in «House of the Dragon.» Yesterday, HBO just released the trailer for the second season, which will premiere on June 16.

As for «Superman,» its premiere is scheduled for July 11, 2025. Last week, James Gunn revealed the first look at the Kryptonian's costume.
