Last night, the premiere of the second season of «House of the Dragon» started, the events of which take place almost 200 years before Game of Thrones. Currently, only the first episode is available.
House of the Dragon tells the story of the civil war between Rhaenyra and Aegon Targaryen. The main roles were played by Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D'Arcy, and others.
A video with updated opening titles was also released on the official YouTube channel. The main theme, written by Ramin Djawadi, still plays in the background.
The episode has already received very high ratings from viewers. The average rating is currently 8.9 on IMDb.
Earlier, HBO renewed House of the Dragon for a third season in advance. Filming is expected to start this year.
