Fantasy RPG Greedfall 2 Receives First Gameplay — The Game Now Resembles Dragon Age: Origins

The portal IGN has published a four-minute gameplay video of Greedfall 2: The Dying World. Developers from Spiders were inspired by Dragon Age: Origins, so the combat system in the new part has become quite different.

While the original Greedfall was a classic action RPG, the sequel focuses on tactics. The game now features a tactical pause, an isometric camera, and a cursor not tied to the camera. Fans of the old combat system did not appreciate the changes, but enthusiasts of old-school RPGs should enjoy it.

Greedfall 2 will be a prequel to the first part and will tell the story of a native of the island of Teer Fradee, exiled to a hostile continent. The hero will have to gain freedom using diplomacy and brute force.

It is worth mentioning that Greedfall 2 will be developed through early access. At launch, the game will include a character editor, three starting locations, initial quests, and companions — this is about 30% of the content of the final version.
