The Resident Evil remaster has become even better with a texture mod
May 19, 2024, 05:50 PM
A modder with the nickname Arcturium has released a pack of 4K textures for Resident Evil HD Remaster. The mod restored more than 2,500 in-game backgrounds.
You can compare the quality «before» and «after» in the screenshots below:
As the author himself writes, he extracted the backgrounds from the in-game files of the GameCube version and enlarged each one three times. Some images had to be taken from the PC port because they could not be restored. The mod did not affect only some of the rooms that were decorated in 3D.
You can download the REScale mod here.
