Star Wars Outlaws will have a Grand Theft Auto-inspired search system

Star Wars Outlaws creative director Julian Gerighty spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the game's wanted system. It will be in the spirit of police pursuits in GTA.

According to him, the criminal actions of players in front of the forces of the Empire will have their consequences:

Think the police in Grand Theft Auto/ If you start being seen doing crimes, that will start getting them to chase you. If you take some of them out, then it gets worse and worse, where they'll send, at the ultimate level, Death Troopers — and maybe even worse.
— Julian Gerighty

This indirectly confirms the recent leak from an unpublished Star Wars Outlaws trailer showing one of the Empire's elite soldiers.

In addition to stormtroopers, other syndicates can also declare a hunt for the main character, sending their bounty hunters.

Let us remind you that the new Star Wars game will be released on August 30 on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5. The project will probably appear at the Ubisoft presentation on June 10.

It was recently revealed that Star Wars Outlaws will not feature one of Ubisoft's most popular mechanics.
