BioWare has shown off the first gameplay of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, a sequel to the 2014 role-playing game Dragon Age: Inquisition. The video was posted on YouTube.
New details about the RPG have also emerged:
- There will be an advanced character editor (like in Dragon's Dogma 2);
- The main character can be a human, elf, qunari, or dwarf;
- Three classes (warrior, mage, and rogue) and several subclasses have been announced;
- The game will be more linear;
- Side quests will focus on quality rather than quantity;
- The ability to pause combat will remain;
- Battles in the new part will be more dynamic;
- An ability wheel has been added for greater convenience;
- NPCs will remember the player's decisions;
- BioWare is aiming for 60 FPS on consoles;
- There will be 7 companions, but only two can be taken with you;
- It will be possible to romance all companions;
- Players will be able to choose from one of six factions.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is set to release before the end of 2024 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
