Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree has broken the record of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, becoming the best expansion on Metacritic
The final rating for Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree has been formed online — it scored 95 on Metacritic. As journalists noted, the DLC has become the highest-rated expansion not only in history.
Shadow of the Erdtree managed to surpass all CD Projekt RED expansions, including the previous winner, The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine (92), and the recent Destiny 2: The Final Shape expansion (90).
In addition, the expansion made it to the overall list of the best games in history according to Metacritic. It currently ranks 36th, positioned between Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn and GTA San Andreas.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree will be released on June 21. To access the new location, you must first defeat two bosses: Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood.
