Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree received a patch with bug fixes and balance adjustments

FromSoftware released patch 1.12.3 for the Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion. Unfortunately for some players (and fortunately for others), the developers did not nerf the bosses, but they did fix the balance and several bugs.

The list of general changes states that the patch balanced the damage of the Carian Sorcery Sword by increasing the scaling from intelligence and slightly reducing the base damage, extended the attack range of the new throwing weapon, and fixed the positioning of two bosses, the Golden Hippopotamus and Commander Gaius, in repeat battles.

The authors also fixed several bugs that caused some types of weapons and skills to deal incorrect amounts of damage. For example, the Lightning Perfume Bottle and Frenzyflame Perfume Bottle dealt twice as much damage under certain circumstances.

Additionally, the patch notes provided some tips on how to increase frame rates. PS5 owners are recommended to enable the Rebuild Database option, while PC gamers can check the integrity of the files and disable third-party mouse software.
