As part of the THQ Nordic Showcase 2024 presentation, Spanish studio Alkimia Interactive presented a gameplay trailer for the Gothic remake. The exact release date has not yet been revealed.
In the new trailer, which lasts over 4 minutes, the developers, among other things, showed the updated game world, some characters, the combat system, the underwater swimming mechanic and many creatures inhabiting the island — goblins, mole rats, scavengers, wolves and more.
The remake is being created on Unreal Engine 5 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game will be released in 2025.
