The Korean company Krafton unexpectedly announced the acquisition of the now-closed Tango Gameworks, which previously belonged to Microsoft. The studio is known for The Evil Within, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Hi-Fi Rush.
Along with the team, Krafton also acquired the rights to Hi-Fi Rush, and the game will officially get a sequel. The main developer of the action game, John Johannes, has already returned to Tango Gameworks.
The rights to the other titles will remain with Microsoft. All games, including Hi-Fi Rush, will still be available on Game Pass.
Krafton previously released PUBG: Battlegrounds and The Callisto Protocol. The company is currently working on the life simulator InZOI, which recently got a page on Steam.
