Preview details:
- The first impressions of the game are positive. Journalists noted that the game is far from the Resident Evil 2 remake, but the quality level is still decent;
- Bloober Team has reworked the combat system, some puzzles, and level design, but other elements remain almost untouched. Some fans may be disappointed that the remake copies the original too closely;
- The most praised aspects are the improved graphics and sound. The remake excellently conveys the atmosphere of Silent Hill as a sinister and fog-covered town;
- The combat system has been diversified with a new dodge mechanic. The game is more combat-oriented but does not turn into a monotonous action game;
- Journalists specifically noted the encounter with Pyramid Head. The battle with the monster has become noticeably more dynamic and beautiful in terms of design;
- The PS5 version includes two graphics modes — focusing on quality and performance. There is also a special color filter in the settings reminiscent of the original game.
The Silent Hill 2 remake will be released on October 8 on PC and PS5.
