Gary Oldman recently responded to IndieWire's question about whether he is ready to play Sirius Black again in the Harry Potter series.
According to him, he still has a soft spot for his character, but he doesn't think a return is possible. «I would bet my money that they will get a whole new cast of people,» Oldman said.
The 66-year-old actor also noted that he might soon grow into another role: «Maybe in a few years, I could do Dumbledore.»
Last week, Warner Bros. announced the casting for the series. According to the company, the new casting will be inclusive and diverse.
The series premiere is scheduled for 2026.
