Silent Hill 2 Remake scores 95% rating on Steam
The early access release of Silent Hill 2 went live on October 6th, with the game available to those who purchased the expanded edition. Everyone else will be able to experience the terrifying remake starting on October 8th.
Early player reaction has been overwhelmingly positive, with the remake already boasting a 95% rating on Steam. Players are praising the game for its immersive atmosphere, smooth optimization, beautiful graphics, excellent sound design, frightening monsters, and polished combat system.

«The beautiful graphics perfectly complement the unique charm of the fog-filled town, and the sound design with its subtle ambient sounds is absolutely stunning. The combat doesn't feel as clunky as it did in the early trailers, and it's pretty decent,» commented TarNP.
«Overall, my first impression is very positive, even though there are some questionable decisions with the hit detection and the appearance of some characters,» shared SAMIDARA.
Critics have also been impressed with the remake, awarding it an average score of 87/100 on OpenCritic.
