Silent Hill 2's Success Provokes Internet Trolls to Vandalize Wikipedia Page
As you probably know, the Silent Hill 2 remake has unexpectedly won the hearts of both critics and gamers. Some players couldn't come to terms with Bloober Team's success, so they started trolling the developers and vandalizing the English Wikipedia page.
The updated page falsely claimed that the remake «received the worst reviews imaginable.» Most journalists allegedly gave the game a score of 0, and the rating on OpenCritic was reported to be just 13%.
As a result, Wikipedia's administration locked the page, preventing unregistered users from editing it. It's quite likely that in a few days, the trolls will move on to Metacritic and engage in review bombing.
Reminder: Silent Hill 2 is already available for deluxe edition owners. The full release is set for October 8.
