Cyberpunk 2077 Devs Reveal Early Version of Another Level, Compare It to Final Design

CD Projekt RED has released the fourth episode of Blocktober, focusing on the development of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. In this episode, level designer Sebastian McBride shared insights into creating the Dirty Twister club, featured in the quest Sr. Ladrillo's Private Collection.
The draft version was created midway through the project. I wanted to build a place where players could take a breather and look around before shifting into a more standard stealth mission. My goal was to preserve the essence of 'stealth games' while capturing the atmosphere and style of Cyberpunk 2077.
McBride added that the club's design highlights its main target from the very start:
The main office offers a view of the entire club—a concept I loved from the beginning. Inside, players immediately spot their target; the challenge is figuring out how to reach it. The club's owner oversees the action from his office, with a stage that stretches out from it—it's a clear visual cue. It seems like he had certain insecurities.
