Reviews of Dragon Age: The Veilguard from major foreign publications have already been released, along with new gameplay footage. Many players are, to put it mildly, dissatisfied.
Users online have pointed out controversial aspects related to the representation of the main character and their companions. For instance, players can make the protagonist transgender, and the kunari character Taash refers to themselves as non-binary in one scene. It's worth noting that a supposed game tester had previously shared a similar story.
The IGN review video, which featured the moment of selecting the heroine's gender, garnered only 5,000 likes against 34,000 dislikes. While the publication rated the RPG a 9, many players believe that number should be flipped.
«I clicked on this video merely for the comment section,» — @RiasxGremory.
«Hahaha Jesus. IGN just keeps slipping further and further out of touch,» — @Musky577.
«DA1: sacrificing entire tribes of elves to demons just to get a little extra power. DA4: can't call people an idiot.,» — @moonie9000.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released on October 31 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
