Fiona Shaw, who played Aunt Petunia in the Harry Potter films, shared her thoughts on the upcoming series adaptation with new actors. When People magazine asked the 66-year-old actress how she feels about the reboot, she jokingly exclaimed, «The audacity!» before wishing the team success.
As CinemaBlend points out, the original cast for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was selected 24 years ago, and the final installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2, celebrated its 13th anniversary last summer.
HBO recently confirmed that the Harry Potter series will begin airing in 2027. The company aims to film the first two seasons quickly to avoid significant aging of the young cast.
