First Still from Tron: Ares Starring Jared Leto Revealed
The Tron franchise has once again reminded us of its existence: Empire has published the first still from Tron: Ares, starring Jared Leto. The film will be a direct sequel to 2010's Legacy.
Filming began earlier this year, with Joachim Rønning taking the director's chair. The main roles were played by Jared Leto, Evan Peters, and one of the heroines was also played by Gillian Anderson. According to the director, the third film will be darker in mood and will focus on the study of humanity:
This was also emphasized by the choice of the soundtrack — the music for the film was written by the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails. However, the legacy of Daft Punk will also be heard.
Tron: Ares will be released on October 10, 2025.
Earlier, a photo from the filming of the new Predator appeared, which captured an alien bounty hunter. According to the creators, the film will show him in the role of the protagonist for the first time.
