Insider: Battlefield 6 Devs Aim to Avoid Battlefield 2042's Fate — New Game Sets Testing Record
Battlefield 6 is shaping up to be one of the best entries in the series — at least, that's the hope of Electronic Arts. According to renowned insider Tom Henderson, the upcoming shooter boasts the largest budget in the franchise's history.
More importantly, the game has undergone an unprecedented number of tests, with a record-breaking volume of feedback and data collected for the series. Developers are embracing a «player first» philosophy, carefully listening to the community's opinions.
In early 2025, EA plans to conduct large-scale testing for Battlefield 6. However, the exact format of this testing remains unclear.
The new Battlefield is being developed by four studios: DICE, EA Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect. Early details suggest the online shooter will return to its classic formula, featuring 64-player matches, four classes, and fully destructible environments. The game is slated for release in fall 2025.
