CD Projekt RED Addresses Rumors Spread by Geralt's Voice Actor About The Witcher 4

Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt in CD Projekt RED's The Witcher games, has clarified his previous comments about the development of The Witcher 4. In August, the actor mentioned that Geralt would appear in the next installment but not as the main protagonist.

In a recent interview with Geektown, Cockle admitted that he doesn’t actually know CD Projekt RED’s plans. He revealed that the studio contacted him after his statement and asked him to stop spreading rumors.

I did go online and I said something about this, and then I got slapped by CD Projekt because… I don't know how true it is. I went off a rumor – I thought I'd seen somebody from CD Projekt say that Geralt will be in Witcher 4 but he won't be the main character, and I don't actually know if that's true now, because they came back and they went, 'We haven't put anything out there, don't say anything!'

Earlier, dataminers uncovered numerous details from an early build of The Witcher 3. This discovery revealed that the game originally had a different subtitle, and one of its quests would have taken Geralt to Night City.
