Dataminers Uncover Scrapped Quest from The Witcher 3 Featuring Night City from Cyberpunk 2077

A group of modders has unveiled fascinating details about the early version of The Witcher 3. Datamining efforts have revealed that CD Projekt RED had initially planned for Geralt to make a brief visit to Night City from Cyberpunk 2077.

The crossover was supposed to occur during the quest "Through Time and Space," where Geralt and Avallac’h traverse various worlds in pursuit of Ge’els. In one version of the script, the duo accidentally ends up in the futuristic world of Cyberpunk 2077, leading to a humorous exchange:

Geralt: What... What is this place? Is this the afterlife?

Avallac'h: No. Just another of the realities the Spiral leads through... Technologically advanced, but broken. Dying.

Geralt: Disgusting. This stench, noise... How can you live here?!

Avallac'h: You should know better. This world is inhabited by humans, not elves.

The document also mentions an encounter with a local beggar, whom the heroes could offer a small sum of money. Interestingly, CD Projekt RED had reportedly planned for this same character to appear in Cyberpunk 2077, transformed into a wealthy, successful businessman.
