Rumor: Warner Bros. Lays Off 99 Developers from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Warner Bros. continues cost-cutting measures following the disastrous launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. According to Radio-Canada, citing insider sources, the company has laid off one-third of the staff at WB Games Montreal, the studio responsible for post-launch content for the game.

A total of 99 employees were affected by the layoffs. Those let go were offered career counseling or the option to leave their contact information for potential future opportunities. However, one former employee noted that Warner Bros. may not require new hires until 2026.

Previously, the developers of Suicide Squad released a trailer focused on Deathstroke. The game’s fifth support season, which will reportedly be its last, is set to begin soon.

Rumors suggest that the studio is working on a new big-budget game set in the DC universe. An official announcement is likely still a few years away.
