Borderlands 4 Narrative Director Criticizes Toilet Humor: “If the word skibidi ships in the game under my watch I'm gonna cry real tears”
Borderlands 4 promises to stand out from previous installments—particularly when it comes to humor. According to narrative director Sam Winkler, the new game will feature far less toilet humor.
Winkler shared this while responding to a user on X. While he couldn’t delve into specifics, he assured fans there would be no “Skibidi” companions or excessively crude quests.
I’m not gonna say there’s no toilets but if the word skibidi ships in the game under my watch I’m gonna cry real tears. Paul Tassi joked that we were gonna have a gun called Hawk 2A and a fellow dev asked me if it was real and I wanted to put my hand down the sink grinder

Winkler added that the team consists of some of the most talented and witty writers in the industry, though he refrained from revealing their names just yet.
Borderlands 4 is set to release in 2025. You can check out the latest trailer here.
