RTX 5080 Tested in Cyberpunk 2077: DLSS 4 Delivers Stunning Graphics Enhancements

The team at Digital Foundry has already tested DLSS 4 technology in Cyberpunk 2077. Expert Richard Leadbetter explored Night City for five hours using an engineering sample of the GeForce RTX 5080.

According to Leadbetter, DLSS 4 is powered by a brand-new machine learning model applied to both supersampling and ray reconstruction, operating similarly to AI models like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Flux.

The technology significantly improved image quality and virtually eliminated "ghosting" effects. An exclusive frame-generation feature boosted framerate by nearly 10 times compared to gameplay without DLSS.

Leadbetter noted that these visual enhancements will be available to all GeForce RTX owners. However, dual frame generation remains exclusive to the 40-series GPUs, while dual and quad-frame generation will require the latest models.
