Radeon RX 9070 preorder date set for January 23

Retailer B&H has confirmed that preorders for AMD’s new Radeon RX 9070 graphics cards will begin on January 23. Although AMD has yet to officially announce the release date, the preorder listing for ASUS models—both XT and non-XT variants—suggests that this date is accurate. The Radeon RX 9070 series is built on the RDNA 4 architecture and is expected to compete with NVIDIA’s RTX 4070 and 4070 Ti models, with the RX 9070 even rumored to challenge the RTX 4080.

The initial lineup will include the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 models, offering up to 16GB of video memory. AMD is also simplifying the naming convention to align with its Ryzen 9000 processors, with the 9070 series targeting the high-end market and the 9060 series focusing on mid-range options.

While AMD has not yet revealed full specifications or pricing, it is expected that more information will be provided in the coming days, possibly before the end of January. With preorders launching soon, gamers and reviewers alike can look forward to a busy month ahead as the next wave of graphics cards enters the market.
