Zotac introduces powerful Zone Gaming prototype with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor
At CES 2025, Zotac revealed the working prototype of its latest portable gaming console, the Zone Gaming. Although still in development, the device already shows impressive potential, promising substantial performance improvements over the previous Zotac Zone model.
The key upgrade lies in the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, featuring 12 cores and 24 threads based on the Zen 5 architecture, built on a 4nm process. This powerful chip also integrates Radeon 890M graphics with RDNA 3.5 architecture, ensuring a smoother and more immersive gaming experience. The console boasts 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD for fast storage.
The Zone Gaming console continues to feature a 7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering vibrant visuals. Hall effect joysticks and triggers ensure precision control, while the 48.5Wh battery guarantees hours of gameplay. The device also supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, a microSD card slot, and USB4 ports.
During the presentation, Zotac showcased the console in a white version, although other colors may be available when the product officially launches later this year. Pricing details have yet to be revealed.
