Stephen King Recommends Cancelling the Oscars This Year Due to Massive Fires in Los Angeles

American author Stephen King recommends that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences cancel the 97th annual Oscar ceremony due to the wildfires in Southern California.

He also stated that he will not be voting at the Oscars ceremony.

It's worth noting that the announcement of Oscar nominees has been postponed twice due to the widespread fires in Southern California. According to the latest information, the event is scheduled for January 23.

The wildfires in Southern California began on January 7. So far, 28 people have been reported dead. Additionally, 205,000 people have been forced to evacuate to safety. The fires have destroyed or partially damaged 12,400 buildings.
