Ninja Gaiden 4 Announced Alongside Ninja Gaiden 2 Remake

During the Xbox Developer_Direct 2025 presentation, Ninja Gaiden 4, the newest mainline entry in the series, was officially announced. Development is being handled by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames.

Ninja Gaiden 4 is set in a near-future Tokyo. The game will feature two main characters: Ryu Hayabusa, sporting an updated arsenal, and Yakumo, a gifted young ninja. Together, they must defeat an army of cyborg ninja soldiers and otherworldly demons, as well as lift an ancient curse from Tokyo. The game is slated for release in Fall 2025 on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and will be available on Game Pass on day one.

A remake of Ninja Gaiden 2, titled Ninja Gaiden 2 Black and built using Unreal Engine 5, was also announced. This remake will feature enhanced graphics, additional characters, a beginner mode, and more. It's available now on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
