Crysis 2007 Turned into a VR Shooter with a Mod — Gameplay Video

Independent developer Holger Frydrych has released a mod for the Crysis shooter that allows you to play in VR mode. Users have access to six degrees of freedom of action, natural aiming, full-fledged close combat and other mechanics.

For now, the Crysis VR mod is only available in version 1.0, which means that no one is ruling out bugs and fixes. However, it already allows you to play the shooter in any convenient way — standing or sitting, aiming naturally, including with two hands, and also supports physical attacks for close combat. The mod displays both hands in full, which only contributes to immersion.

The Crysis VR mod is completely free, you can download it from this link. It is worth considering that it is intended for the original Crysis, and not the 2021 remaster. To work, simply run the installer and specify the path to the game folder.

Earlier, the game director of Crysis revealed why the 2007 shooter received such high graphics settings. In addition, a new game is officially in development — they have been working on it for a couple of years.
