Sony Brings Helldivers 2 Back on Sale in Over 20 Countries
Players from dozens of countries have regained access to purchase Helldivers 2. Recall that last year Sony removed the game from sale in 177 regions where the PlayStation Network service does not work.
Recall that in May, the publisher made an extremely controversial decision. Sony required Helldivers 2 players to link their Steam account to a PSN account — the company extended this requirement to its other games released on PC. However, it is not possible to create a PlayStation Network account in all countries, which is why gamers have raised a real riot. In response, Sony simply banned the purchase of the cooperative shooter in dozens of countries, after which it lost 90% of its audience.
But recently, according to SteamDB data, the company excluded 22 regions from the blacklist at once. The ban still remains in many countries where the PSN service is not available, but a start has already been made.
Let's recall that Sony recently announced film adaptations of three of its games, including Helldivers 2. The project also won one of the nominations of The Steam Awards 2024 and received a major update with the Illuminati.
