Steam version of Helldivers 2 drowns in negative reviews after demands to create a PSN account
Today's announcement from the creators of Helldivers 2, which will require all PC players to create a PlayStation Network account, didn't quite go as planned. Many Steam users were outraged by Arrowhead's requirement, so they decided to flood the game with negative reviews.
At the time of writing this note, the game has «very positive» reviews, however, just today, the number of negative reviews exceeded 3,000. Gamers write that they were deceived, as after a few months, they no longer have the opportunity to refuse and process a refund. It was also noted online that not all countries can create a PSN account, and choosing another country during registration could lead to a block.
Neither the authors of Helldivers 2 nor Sony have yet responded to the criticism from players. Likely, the company is now actively reconsidering the decision on mandatory registration.
