Denuvo Removed from Fantasy Shooter Immortals of Aveum

Ascendant Studios has removed the Denuvo protection system from the fantasy shooter Immortals of Aveum. Recall that the game was released in 2023 on PC and consoles, receiving average reviews from players and critics.

SteamDB users noticed that the latest patch removed protection from the PC version of the game. The mention of Denuvo also disappeared from the official Steam page. By the way, even after the release, a build of the game without protection leaked onto the network, which was obtained through the demo.

In Immortals of Aveum, the player takes on the role of an elite battle mage who must save the world from destruction. The main difference of the shooter was the use of magic instead of firearms — the player is given a choice of 25 spells, 80 skills and many magical artifacts with improvements. In the year of its release, critics and gamers praised the project for its fun gameplay, but the plot and characters were disappointing. The game currently has 72% positive reviews on Steam.

The PC version of Immortals of Aveum also received a solid 85% discount.

Recently, several PC games lost Denuvo, including an action game from Rocksteady and two projects from Frontier Foundry.
