Video streaming service Twitch has announced upcoming changes, particularly affecting categories like "Highlights" and "Uploaded Videos." A storage limit of 100 hours will be implemented.
These changes will take effect on April 19. If a user exceeds the 100-hour content limit in storage, the materials with the fewest views will be deleted.
Notably, this will not affect past broadcast recordings (VODs) and clips. It's reported that less than 0.5% of streamers exceed the 100-hour limit, and this content accounts for less than 0.1% of total viewed hours. Notifications will be sent to users affected by this change.
As a reminder, we recently reported that the video platform YouTube celebrated its 20th anniversary since its founding.
