This September, the Batman comic universe is set for yet another reboot. During the ComicsPro event, DC Comics officially announced a new Dark Knight storyline, penned by Matt Fraction, known for his work on X-Men and Iron Man comics.
Jorge Jimenez, the artist behind Batman’s most recent arc, will once again take on the role of lead illustrator. Alongside Fraction, he has designed a brand-new gray-and-blue Batsuit, as well as a new Batmobile, which will be revealed at a later date.
I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Batman. It was the first comic I ever read. Jorge and I have a very superhero-forward kind of take on Batman. We’ve got a new Batmobile, we’ve got a new costume, we’ve got new characters, and we’ve got a lot of old ones too—good and bad; all the stuff that makes Batman the coolest character in comics. We want to celebrate it all.
DC also announced that fans can expect new stories featuring Supergirl, Clark Kent, and Krypto throughout spring and summer. Meanwhile, Marvel is preparing to reboot its Captain America comics.
