Recent news about NetEase's plans to close its overseas studios has also affected the developers of The Blood of Dawnwalker. The co-founder and chief publishing officer Rebel Wolves said that the studio has enough funding.

Recall that in 2022, NetEase invested a large sum in the development of The Blood of Dawnwalker. In this regard, there was concern that the company's plans to sell its teams would lead to a lack of funding and the closure of Rebel Wolves. But as one of the founders of Rebel Wolves Tomasz Tinc reported on his LinkedIn, the rumors turned out to be premature:

The Blood of Dawnwalker's production is fully funded, and we work alongside our partners and friends from Bandai Namco, our game's global publisher, to bring the first chapter of the Dawnwalker saga to life.

The vast majority of Rebel Wolves' ownership rests in the hands of Konrad Tomaszkiewicz and other studio co-owners, all of whom are employed by Rebel Wolves.

Recall that the studio was founded by former CD Projekt RED developers responsible for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077. The action role-playing game The Blood of Dawnwalker will be the team's debut project — the game is being developed for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. There is no release date yet.

Rebel Wolves previously announced that they would allow gamers to play a real monster in the upcoming RPG. The developers also intend to achieve the same quality as The Witcher 3.
