The World's Thinnest Rugged Smartphone with Night Vision And a Massive Battery Unveiled

Oukitel is breaking stereotypes about rugged smartphones with the launch of the WP35 Pro, a device that blends toughness with surprising elegance. Marketed as the world’s thinnest 5G rugged phone, it boasts a colossal 11,000 mAh battery while maintaining a sleek profile.

At just 14.9mm thick and weighing 360 grams, the WP35 Pro defies expectations—batteries of this size usually require bulky casings. Oukitel’s engineers have managed to keep the phone compact without compromising battery life or durability. The device meets IP68/IP69K standards for dust, water, and extreme temperatures, as well as MIL-STD-810H certification for resistance to drops and vibrations.

The standout feature of the WP35 Pro is its 8MP night vision sensor with infrared illumination, allowing users to capture images in complete darkness. This makes it an ideal choice for adventurers, hunters, and professionals in specialized fields. The 64MP Sony IMX682 main camera and 32MP front-facing shooter complete the setup, while a 2MP macro sensor adds versatility for close-up photography.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD). While the processor is well-suited for multitasking and 5G connectivity, it’s not optimized for demanding gaming. The 6.6-inch display offers a 2.4K (2408×1080) resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 protection, though it sticks to a modest 60Hz refresh rate—a reasonable trade-off for battery efficiency.

The phone’s 11,000 mAh battery is its biggest selling point. According to Oukitel, it can last up to five days with active use and up to 1,800 hours in standby mode. The 33W fast charging can replenish 50% of the battery in just 30 minutes—an impressive feat for such a massive power pack. The WP35 Pro is now available for pre-order at $199.
