How to Kill All Characters in The Casting of Frank Stone

All important decisions you need to make to kill all characters in The Casting of Frank Stone and get the Merciless Killer achievement.

In the horror game The Casting of Frank Stone, like other Supermassive Games titles, the gameplay consists of QTE scenes and plot choices that can lead to certain consequences. Some will allow saving all characters and getting the best ending, while others will lead to their deaths.

There are a number of key decisions listed in this guide. The Merciless Killer trophy requires the deaths of Madison, Jaime, Chris, Sam, and Linda. The game also has two time arcs:

In the first few chapters, there are no major incidents. However, in Chapter 3, make sure not to buy any fireworks, as this will save a character from a terrible fate. Now let's move on to all the characters and how you can make them meet their end at the hands of Frank Stone.

Do not choose the Run option when the character is being pulled through the portal. If you don't have firecrackers, choose to confront Frank, which will lead to Jaime's death.

Madison's death scene can occur in Chapter 8. You will be tasked with solving a puzzle — you can fail this task, and Madison will die a terrible death. The energy will burn the girl to ashes. Alternatively, you can help Madison survive to see her in a few more chapters and kill her later.

There are several death scenes that will play out over two chapters. Make the following choices:

Note: Stan can die in Chapter 10 if Chris decides to stay in 2024 and you miss the QTE scene to save him.

If you reach Chapter 13 with many living characters from 1980, you have one more chance.

While controlling Linda, do not use the camera to fend off Frank. This will result in Chris meeting a dizzying demise.

This death is inevitable — Frank will impale her on a hook.

If Jaime survived in Chapter 5, you can deal with him here.

After Jaime's death, you will encounter Frank again. Simply do not use the camera, and Sam will also meet his terrible end.

Fail the QTE as Linda, and she will die a brutal death.

This likely happens because at least two characters must escape alive from 1980: Robert and someone else (Linda or Jaime).

In the final chapter, you will be presented with several instances where you can sacrifice your friends to kill all characters in The Casting of Frank Stone.

The first character who can die here is Stan. When Frank appears from the projector screen, fail the QTE scene and do not sacrifice yourself.

Given that both Linda and Madison are alive, complete the generator mini-game and choose to escape through the elevator instead of helping Madison. Frank will kill both survivors, but Madison a little later.

Note: If you successfully completed the generator mini-game, Frank will knock out Madison. Playing as Linda, you can save Madison or escape through the elevator. Frank will chase Linda and decapitate her. Frank will also capture Madison to be sacrificed. Linda and Madison die here, but the older version of Sam is still alive. He will automatically escape.

Successfully complete the QTE scenes during Frank's chase after Madison until you find Sam:

Madison dies when Frank is near Sam. When control switches to Sam, you need to fail all QTE scenes. Frank will catch Sam and take him to the terrace, where he will impale him on a hook to be sacrificed.
