Complete Walkthrough of The Casting of Frank Stone
The Casting of Frank Stone is a new interactive movie from Supermassive Games. As in other projects of the series, your decisions will determine which characters survive until the end. In this walkthrough, we will tell our version of the story and describe the possible consequences.
Chapter 1. The Burning Womb. 1963
After the introductory cutscene, you play as police officer Sam. He arrives at the factory in connection with the abduction of a newborn child. The policeman is met by a guard, with whom you can have a conversation. The guard will tell you that at night there is no one at the factory except him and the dog Merlin. Choose how to respond to this:
- Seriously (you want to ask a few questions);
- Worried (you clarify about the dog).
Our option is Seriously.
Next dialogue choice:
- Skeptically
- Curiously
Our option is Curiously.
You will notice a visitor log. Now you can ask about it:
- Questioningly (ask the guard if he saw anything suspicious);
- Disapprovingly (clarify if the guard has been drinking);
- Reproachfully (ask about falsifying records in the log).
Our option is Reproachfully.
The guard is sure that the child is not at the factory. Choose:
- Insistently (if you want to look around);
- Harshly (clarify why the guard is so sure).
Our choice is Insistently.
In any case, you will find yourself alone at the factory. Move forward a bit to find a bent iron mesh. You can crawl through there. On the other side is a box containing the figure Rainbow King. Go back. To the right of the place where you entered the territory, there is an open window. Climb inside through it.
Inside, go right and squeeze between the slabs. Go through the door. On the table to the right will be a sheet with the arrival times of the factory workers. Opposite stands a gray locker that can be examined. A wooden tablet with a sheet will fall. Read the clue.
Now move the boards from the door. In the new area, examine the sign on the right wall. Move forward, turn left, and then along the train. Ahead will be an open door.
Go inside. Ahead will be a staircase going up and a passage to the right. There is no point in going up, there is nothing useful. Immediately go to the end and to the right. You will come across a low obstacle that you need to climb over.
After this, a cutscene will start, during which the guard will join Sam. Continue exploring the area and go right. There will be no caches here. Upon reaching a certain place, watch the cutscene again. Rotate the pieces of meat in your hands, then talk to the guard:
- Condescendingly (if you want to calm the guard);
- Worriedly (if you are unsure who the remains belong to).
Our option is Worriedly.
To the left of the remains on the barrel is a box with compartments for figurines.
After this, follow the dog. Move forward until the characters notice a grate in the ground. It needs to be pried open with something. Move to the end of the yard and turn right — you can climb here to get into the lit area. Inside, you will find a crowbar.
Return to the grate and pass the check to quickly and successfully lift it. The guard will start to worry. Choose what to say to him:
- Supportively (if you ask the old man for help);
- Discontentedly (if you are annoyed by the guard's uncertainty).
Our choice is Supportively.
Go down. During the process, Sam will lose his cap. Examine it, then go right.
Go almost to the end, and when there is a left turn — turn immediately, and then enter the room with the ajar door. There will be a small chest with a figurine Wooden Horse.
Return to the place where Sam descended and go left. Examine the wall next to the yellow sign, then go down the steps.
There will be an ascent on the left. Immediately after it, stick to the left wall and examine the windowsills. On the second one, there will be a small medallion.
The further path will be just one. When you turn left in front of the train, there will be a window on the right, through which you can see the remains.
After this, go down the stairs opposite again. A little ahead, there will be a fork. Either crawl straight ahead or jump over the pipes on the right. In fact, there is only one way, so jump over the pipes to find the relic Hillbilly.
Crawl forward and go to the end. On the left, there is a staircase to the upper level. There you can pick up a piece of blood-stained sharpened iron.
Now go back a little. Immediately after the place where you crawled, there will be a gap in the wall on the right. Be careful, you will need to press the button in time to avoid the policeman getting burned by hot steam. There's nothing more to do here, climb the stairs ahead.
Once in the new area, Sam will notice a child. You need to decide how to run to him:
- Ramp;
- Stairs.
Our choice is Ramp. It's not entirely clear which option is preferable, but if you go through the ramp, a piece of pipe will fall from above. Press the button at the right moment to dodge. If you don't make it in time, quickly press the button to pull yourself up from the gap.
The fight with the maniac will begin. First, you need to hit him in the head. Then, at the right moment, press the button and blind his eyes with the flashlight. When wounded, Sam will start pulling the pipe out of his shoulder — quickly press the button. Press the button quickly again to get up and shoot the maniac.
Suddenly, you will start playing as a girl — Madison. The chapter will still remain the first. Examine the photo on the table, and then go through the door on the right. Move forward until you find yourself in the same room again. You can examine the photo again — it changes slightly each time.
In the end, just go through the door and your room several times until you find yourself in the forest. Go to the clearing with the TV. Turn it on and talk to your mother. The nightmare will end.
After the cutscene, Madison is already driving a car. Ahead, a woman tries to stop you. You need to decide quickly:
- Stop;
- Drive.
We stopped.
After a lengthy dialogue in which you cannot participate, you finally get the first choice:
- With Curiosity (if you want to know what the stranger is doing);
- Cautiously (if you want to know about the mansion).
Our choice is With Curiosity, besides, it will improve the relationship between the characters (Madison and Linda).
Chapter 2. In the House of Darkness. 2024
Once in the mansion's lobby, you continue to play as Madison. Take a look around. On the first floor along the left wall, there is an illuminated painting. Under it is a box with previously found figurines.
Go up to the second floor. There is a small platform between the stairs. There is an illuminated nightstand with a sheet of notes. On the upper level, there is only one accessible door. Enter to get into the room with the piano. On the table to the left is Bruno Stanford's business card. On the table a bit further is a letter from the servant.
Now play the piano. Thanks to finding the notes, a secret door will open. Talk to Linda every time the Chat button appears. Go all the way down the opened stairs and you will find a room with a relic doll Huntress on the floor. Opening the door, you will end up on the first floor in the passage between the central stairs. This is the exit from the area where you need to go.
Meet another guest of the mansion. Thanks to finding the business card, the dialogue options will expand:
- Calmly (if you want to know if he has been waiting long);
- Cautiously (if you want to discuss the mansion);
- Interestedly (if you want to discuss the information from the business card).
Our choice is Interestedly.
When the dialogue ends, examine the room. On the cabinet with the nightstand lies a book, study it.
Stand facing the door you entered through and turn right. There will be a small door in the wall. Open it to see the movie poster.
The characters will start discussing the find, but unexpectedly the mistress of the house will come. She will offer Madison a drink:
- Relaxed (if you decided to drink);
- Reluctantly (if you refuse).
Our choice is Relaxed.
After the cutscene, the character will change again. You observe him through the camera. Press the button quickly to free your hand. You will have a choice to betray your sister:
- Without Hope (if you decided to betray);
- Unyielding (if you are ready to die for your family).
Our choice is Unyielding.
It turns out the guy's name is Jaime, he is a friend of young Linda and is filming a horror movie with her and another girl — Chris.
Linda and Chris will start arguing about the filmed footage, Jaime needs to decide whose side to take:
- Agreeably (if you took Chris's side);
- Justifyingly (if you took Linda's side).
Our choice is Justifyingly.
The filming will be interrupted by the now older Sheriff Sam from the beginning of the game. It turns out the kids are at the same factory. Decide how to talk to the sheriff:
- Reluctantly (if you are worried about not finishing the film);
- Apologetically (if you agree with the sheriff).
Our choice is Apologetically.
The sheriff will give Jaime the broken camera. Your reaction:
- Disappointed (if you do not expect to finish the film);
- Dissatisfied (if you blame the sheriff for what happened).
Our choice is Dissatisfied, but Sam will not like how you talked to him, so it is better to choose the first option.
Chapter 3. Something Curious on Main Street. 1980
You are still in Linda's past and control Chris. The guys arrived at Jaime's garage. Linda will tell the story that happened with Sam and the maniac Frank Stone. Choose:
- Clarifying (if you want to know who was killed);
- Puzzled (if you want to discuss what the maniac wanted).
Our choice is Puzzled.
Linda will say that journalists were very interested in the events. Choose:
- Questioningly (if you want to know what the journalists wanted);
- Suspiciously (if you want to discuss the sheriff's reaction).
Our choice is Questioningly.
Jaime's sister will come and the control will switch to him:
- Cheerfully (if you want to cheer up your sister);
- Understandingly (if you want to show compassion to her).
Our choice is Understandingly, as the first option will most likely make her even angrier.
You can ask your sister for money to repair the camera. How will you do it:
- Calmly (if you do not want to take more than necessary);
- Nervously (if you want to get extra money).
We chose Calmly. But if you want to save Jaime from death in the future, choose Nervously.
Now you need to promise something in return:
- Cynically (if you want to threaten your sister);
- Reluctantly (if you want to offer your van).
We chose Reluctantly, it's better not to argue with your sister.
You play as Chris again. Choose where to repair the camera — at the pharmacy or the antique shop. We immediately went to the shop because who would repair equipment at a pharmacy? However, if you go to the pharmacy first, the plot will become more coherent. Jaime will go to negotiate the repair, and you can inspect the pharmacy as we describe below. In the end, Jaime will not repair the camera but will buy firecrackers, which is important.
In the antique shop, you can look around. On the shelf right in front of you is a rabbit mask.
To the right is a box with found figurines, it gives nothing.
From the entrance, turn left and go to the end. There is a note about the previous owner. Talk to Jaime in the left part of the shop. To the left of the seller's counter, there will be a stuffed crow and a closed door.
To the right of the entrance, there will be a table with a scythe. Examine it. A little further on a red-lit table, there is a smiley badge, and a little ahead, you can turn on the TV. Go around the shelf to the left of the TV to inspect a film reel, and in the far right corner, there is a relic doll Hunter.
Talk to Linda to continue the plot. Note that if you entered the shop after the pharmacy, the conversation with Linda will be during the gameplay, and the scene will end with the inspection of the film reel. The saleswoman will offer a new camera. Chris will find it outdated, but the price is only 10 dollars, exactly what you have:
- Gratefully (if you just want to take the camera and pay);
- Doubtfully (if you think the price is too high).
Our choice is Gratefully.
If you entered the shop after the pharmacy, the price will be 15 dollars. You can bargain. Then the saleswoman will offer a mirror. Don't take it; it will complicate Chris's life in the future. If you are following this path, the scene will end. If you went straight to the shop and did not go to the pharmacy, there will be another scene below.
Chris will remember that she needs to buy milk. Once in the pharmacy, inspect the counter on the left. There is a box with figurines and a magazine with an article — read it. Also, inspect the bulletin board a little further on the left. Inspect the shelves. On one of them, at the bottom, closer to the right wall, there will be a new trinket figurine Soaked Boot. Also, on the shelves, there are firecrackers, but you cannot buy them since you spent all the money on the camera.
You can play on the arcade machine, and then take the milk from the fridge along the right wall and ring the bell. Watch the cutscene. The sheriff will come again; he wants to apologize for the harshness he showed earlier. We respond:
- Provocatively (if you want to show that you know about Frank Stone);
- Unyieldingly (if you want to show that you are determined).
Our choice is Provocatively.
Chapter 4. The Walls Have Ears. 2024
You play as Linda in the present. Madison had a nightmare. Your reaction:
- Compassionately (if you want to show emotions);
- Clarifying (if you just want to ask about the nightmare).
Our choice is Compassionately.
Stan wants to explore the mansion. Your decision:
- Commandingly (if you want to lead the search for information);
- Condescendingly (if you want to keep to yourself).
Our choice is Commandingly.
Stan wants to show off his observance. We respond to him:
- Curiously (if you want to learn a bit more about Augustina — the mistress of the house);
- Suspiciously (if you want to talk about the cursed film).
Our choice is Curiously.
Inspect the new room. In the center hangs a large portrait. Approach it and press the name at the bottom. A secret door with computers and cameras will open. Inspect the equipment, and then the blueprint on the left.
In the main room opposite the portrait on the dresser stands a small dry tree. There's nothing else here, go up the stairs. Before this happens, Linda wants to know where the others got copies of the film. After Madison's words, respond:
- Reassuringly (if you want to support the girl);
- Clarifying (if you want to switch to Stan).
Our choice is Reassuringly.
On the next floor, to the left, there is a strange figurine, but it's missing something. Also on the left will be a quirky door. Inspect it. Continue moving in a circle from the left wall. On one of the tables, there is a book about Stone. Study it. The cabinet in the right corner is closed. A little to the right, there will be another box with trinkets. Now talk to Madison.
The girl will ask you to tell her what her mother was like. Choose an option:
- Nostalgically (if you want to share something you haven't told anyone);
- Briefly (if you don't want to go into details).
Our choice is Nostalgically.
Stan will notice someone in the window. Since you found the room with the cameras, there will be more options in the dialogue. What will you respond:
- Worriedly (if you think these are the tape kidnappers);
- Carelessly (if you believe nothing serious is happening yet);
- Seriously (if you are sure Augustina was expecting guests).
Our choice is Seriously.
Chapter 5. The Ghost of the Steel Mill. 1980
You play as Jaime again. He is with Linda waiting for Chris and the sheriff's son — Robert. When they arrive, choose:
- Enthusiastically (if you are very happy about their arrival);
- Anxiously (if it irritates you that Chris is making noise).
Our choice is Enthusiastically.
When you get newspaper clippings about Frank Stone's victims:
- Submissively (if you agree that this is useful information);
- Worriedly (if you think it's not worth stirring up the past too much).
Our choice is Worriedly, but this angers Chris. The girl is thrilled with the possibility of including Stone's story in the film. Therefore, it's better to choose Submissively. You meet with Chris and it's better to support her ideas. Jaime is not sure about this:
- Approvingly (if you fully support the girl);
- Hesitantly (if you don't see anything cool in this story).
Our choice is Hesitantly, but this angers Chris again, with whom our relationship has already deteriorated. It makes sense to agree with her and choose Approvingly.
When you gain control, inspect the garage. On the table behind Chris and Robert, there are a couple of newspaper clippings.
A little to the left, there's an audio cassette.
Continue inspecting the room and read the book Oracle of the Universe.
In the end, you can find an audio recorder.
Use the cassette to hear new information. Finally, you can inspect the board with various information, then talk to Linda.
In the dialogue:
- Worriedly (if you're concerned about Chris's interest in Frank Stone);
- Insecurely (if you're jealous of Chris with Robert).
Our choice is Worriedly.
Linda will say that she came up with a new scene in the boiler room. Our reaction:
- Encouragingly (if you want to support Augustina);
- Disapprovingly (if you're unhappy that Chris spends too much time at the murder site).
We chose Encouragingly.
You head to the plant and start playing as Chris. The chapter is the same. Follow Robert and squeeze between the rocks.
Shortly after that, you will have a choice of how to get to the plant — climb over the fence or cross the collapsed bridge. Both paths are safe and differ only in the trinkets you will find. If you choose the first one, you will find the Mother and Daughter Ring. It's immediately after the cutscene on the left. Squeeze between the rocks to find the box. Our choice is to cross.
Continue moving behind Robert and keep to the right. The guy leads you to the arch below, but you should find a concrete ledge to climb a bit higher.
Go to the end and balance across the beam. Robert will immediately descend the barrels down, but don't follow him. Move to another beam, crossing which you will find a trinket — Tattooed Middle Finger.
Now you can descend and move forward. There's nothing else in this area. Crawl under the concrete slab and climb onto the box, then onto the roof. Climb the platform and watch the cutscene.
In the tunnel, follow Robert until you see a gap between the walls — crawl through. Right in front of you will be a relic — Ghost.
Return back and follow Robert, keeping to the right side. You will see a window through which you can crawl — head there.
At the end of the corridor, there's a closed door. Go through it, and you'll enter a spacious hall. On the right side, there's a table with a key to the foundry — take it. There's nothing else to do here, so return to the main path.
When you reach the fork with the stairs, follow Robert. There's nothing on the other staircase. Pass the wagons, and then Robert will go straight, and you follow him. There will be a right turn with a staircase down, but there's nothing there, so don't waste your time. Don't miss the sheriff's cap underfoot — inspect it. To the right in the turn, there will be symbols on the wall. You've already seen them playing as Sam in the prologue. Ahead, there will be an obstacle you can jump over.
When the guys turn left before the wagon, turn right. There will be more marks on the wall, after which you can return. You should see a staircase going up.
You are playing as Linda. Chris is very happy that the film is almost finished.
- Disapprovingly (if you don't share Chris and Robert's enthusiasm);
- Insistently (if you want to remind them that there's one more scene left).
Our choice is Insistently.
Bonnie, Jaime's sister, will catch up with you. She wants to go with the guys. Jaime seeks support from Linda.
- Relaxedly (if you don't mind Jaime's sister joining);
- Flippantly (if you want to make a snide remark about Bonnie).
Our choice is Relaxedly.
As soon as you gain control, don't follow the group. Turn around and go left into the main part of the yard. This is the place where Sam was breaking the grate to get Frank at the beginning of the game. Near the grate lies an old crowbar — pick it up.
There's nothing else here, but you need to explore the opposite part of the yard. There's a small building with a closed door. It can be opened with the found crowbar. Inside, there's a box with a trinket Wooden Oni Mask.
Now you can return to the plot route. On the left, there will be an old sign. You've already inspected it as Sam. Slightly to the right, there's a door — the exit from the zone.
You will reach the place where Sam fought with Stone. There's only one path, but pay attention to the platform on the right — you will need to deal with it as there's an item. However, you can't jump to the platform yet.
After crossing the iron bridge, you may notice a control terminal on the right, but it's not working yet. Go down to the others, but don't talk to anyone yet. To the right, behind several piles of debris, there will be a passage leading you closer to the right wall of the factory. Turn right again, and you'll find a spare part. Return to the terminal and repair it. Now you can bring the platform closer. On it, you'll get a trinket Mutilated Rat.
Watch the cutscene. When the scene is shot, Jaime will ask Linda how she liked his acting.
- Approvingly (if you want to praise him);
- Hesitantly (if you're unsure about the final result).
Our choice is Approvingly.
Jaime and Bonnie will have an argument. You need to intervene.
- Restrained (if you want to avoid the conflict yourself);
- Calmly (if you want to take Bonnie away).
Our choice is Calmly. Both girls will separate from the group and go outside. If you choose otherwise, the girls will still leave.
You are playing as Chris. Robert will call you to look at the place where Stone died. Point the camera at the floor. Follow the instructions to absorb the green glow with the camera.
After a short scene, you will find yourself in the machine shop. Go right into a small corridor, then left and to the end. Crawl through the hole in the wall, and on the left, there will be a relic — Clown.
Return to the hall and go to the central doors with the lock. Thanks to the key you obtained at the beginning of the factory, you can pass through.
Ahead is a red box that needs to be moved to the platform. Use the hanging yellow cloth as a guide.
In the left part of the room, you can extend several shelves. Do this before climbing the red box.
Once on top, move along the only possible path. You will have to walk along a beam and then jump across pre-arranged shelves. Chris jumps automatically and cannot stumble — just press forward. At the end, you will see a ladder to descend and a box with a trinket. Due to a bug, its name is not displayed.
Once in the first hall where the guys are waiting, go right into the machine shop. Watch the cutscene.
Now you will control Jaime. Despite the large size of the room, there is nothing here yet. Immediately go left and circle around the wagon to notice a generator. The device is broken, so it will need to be repaired. Before doing this, Robert will start accusing Jaime. Participate in the conversation.
- Suspiciously (if you want to accuse Robert of being too eager to spend time with Chris);
- Impatiently (if you want to join Chris as soon as possible).
Our choice is Suspiciously. If you choose Impatiently, you will still argue with Robert but will exclude the jealousy storyline.
Now it's time to look for parts for the generator. There are two in total. The first can be picked up if you move back from the generator. The bolt is on the right on the table. The second part is almost at the very beginning of the zone.
Return to the place where the guys were when you first entered the machine shop. If you face the door, the part is on the table to the left.
Return to the generator and repair it, following the instructions. When the light turns on, go back a bit. There's a door with a button. Press it to open the room.
To the left is a red box, and slightly higher on the wall is a vent. Pull the box to crawl through.
You will enter the next room. Near the door, there is a key hanging on the wall. Take it and return through the door to the wagon. There's a lock on it, which you can now open. Go through the wagon and climb to the roof using the ladder. Approach the guys and start the dialogue.
- Commanding tone (if you want to jump into the other wagon first);
- Hesitant (if you are unsure whether to move forward).
Our choice is Commanding tone. Jaime will jump, followed by Chris. Robert will be the last and will stumble. Press the button in time to catch him.
You will find yourself in another of Stone's lairs. There are several items to examine here. Inspect the hand in the jar on the floor, the diary on the table, and the newspaper on the floor.
Now approach the large jar on the shelf. After the scene, jump into the hatch after Robert. A dialogue with Chris will start immediately. If you supported the girl, the scene will be slightly different.
- Electric Shock — this seems to be a translation error (if you want to ask Chris about the hand in the jar she took with her, aggressively);
- Warily (if you want to ask about the hand in the jar more calmly).
Our choice is Warily. Jaime will start arguing with Chris, after which she will talk about breaking up.
- Hopefully (if you don't want to break up with Chris);
- Grimly (if you want to break up with Chris).
Our choice is Hopefully. If you weren't jealous of Chris and Robert, the girl won't talk about breaking up. Choose the positive response to talk about everything later, and the couple will kiss.
A scene will start, and Stone's ghost will appear. Chris will start getting sucked into a portal. Jaime will have the choice to Fight or Run. Here's an important point — if in the scene where you asked Bonnie for money, you pressured her and asked for $20 instead of $10, and then went to repair the camera at the pharmacy first, you would have firecrackers, and Jaime can fight and throw them. In our playthrough, we didn't buy firecrackers, so if you choose to fight, the boy will die immediately. This happened to us. If you reached this point without firecrackers, definitely choose to run despite worsening your relationship with Chris. This will end the chapter.
Chapter 6. Beyond the Gates. 2024
You are playing as Madison. You need to open the mysterious gates. Immediately go to the upper floor. Go to the end and turn right. On the table is a key.
To the left on the table by the window is a sheet with information about the auction.
On the table in the center is a magazine with an article about the cursed film.
From the table, stand so that the windows are behind you. In the right corner on the floor is a relic — Legion.
Return to the previous floor and open the locker directly in front of you with the key, if you are standing with your back to the stairs going up.
Go down one more floor. There, on the table in the right corner, is a statuette with a tree. Take it. Return to the locker and place the tree. Take the hammer and place it in the maniac figurine to the left of the gates. Take the cylinder with drawings and place it in the gates.
Now you need to select the correct images. The first one is a house, the second is a tree, and the third is a hammer. The gates will open immediately.
You are playing as Linda. To the left is an exhibit that you can examine. Talk to Stan.
- Respectfully (if you want to befriend him);
- Mockingly (if you want to bet for information).
Our choice is Respectfully. If you choose the latter, Stan will flip a coin. It has heads on both sides.
To the right of Stan is another exhibit. On the table to the left is a book with a horror novel. Examine more important places in the room. In the back hangs a painting. To the right of Stan is a recording device. Turn it on to listen to the information. To the left of Stan on the floor is a trinket — Victor's Soldier. On the opposite side is an exhibit with Stone's mask. Now approach the table opposite and start the scene.
An unknown person will appear. Hit him on the knee. End of the chapter.
Chapter 7. Dangerous Place. 1980
You are playing as young Linda again. She is sitting outside with Bonnie. Jaime's sister will offer a drink.
- Gratefully (if you want to drink);
- Reluctantly (if you want to refuse).
Our choice is Reluctantly. The flask is empty anyway. Bonnie will start hinting about Linda's secret crush.
- Playfully (if you want to tease her);
- Condescendingly (if you deny it).
Our choice is Playfully.
When you gain control, you will find yourself back in the furnace room. Go to where Chris was with the guys. As soon as Bonnie sees Jaime's corpse, you can try to calm her down.
- Seriously (if you want to figure out the situation);
- Electric Shock — another translation error (if you don't understand what's going on).
Our choice is Seriously. If Jaime is alive, there will be no dialogue. You just need to go to the room where Chris disappeared to retrieve the camera. After a short cutscene, Frank Stone will appear. You need to drive him away with the camera. Aim the lens at the ghost and start filming, following the instructions. When the charge runs out, reload the film. It's important not to move the lens away from Stone. Sometimes it will drift automatically, but it's very easy to bring it back.
Once Stone disappears, go around the obstacle. There will be a lift in front of you, but it is powerless. Go to the right from the machine, then right again. There is a generator on the left.
Try to fix it, but it won't work. The ghost will appear again. Drive him away using the same camera method. Now you need to find a part for the generator. Return to the lift; the part will be on the wooden planks to the right.
Start fixing it, but the ghost will interfere again, drive him away. Fix the generator completely. Start lowering the lift. Frank Stone will appear a few more times. Twice from the side where you entered the room, and once on the left, as you go to the generator.
Get on the lift, jump onto the wagon on the right, move a bit forward, and jump to the left, heading towards the exit ahead. Go down the first ladder — there is a beam on the right.
Balance on it to the container. There lies a trinket Diamond Cufflinks. You can jump down to the right. To the left of where you jumped down are gray doors — go there. End of the chapter.
Chapter 8. Mysterious Mansion. 2024
We return to Linda in the present and immediately enter into a dialogue with Sam.
- Nostalgically (if you want to reminisce about how much time has passed since the last meeting);
- Electric Shock — another translation error (if you want to yell at Sam).
Our choice is Nostalgically.
Sam will start arguing with the characters.
- Skeptically (if you doubt that the film is really cursed);
- Concernedly (if you don't believe the film is cursed).
Our choice is Concernedly.
Sam hopes that the heroes have refused the deal with Augustina.
- Justifying (if you consider Augustina's offer generous);
- Hesitating (if you want to say that no deal has been made yet).
Our choice is Hesitating.
After the cutscene, play as Madison. You need to find Stan. Go forward and to the left. There will be a TV, inspect it.
The corridor will change. Go forward and to the left, pass through the door.
Continue moving straight, then left. There will be a green glow ahead — go towards it. Just before the stairs down, turn left and inspect the symbol on the floor and the painting. Now go down the stairs and pass through the gate.
You are in a large room with a console ahead and levers around. Approach the console immediately — it's a puzzle, but the essence is very simple.
The console has 4 circles forming a disk, but only 3 of them move. The outermost one is stationary — use it as a reference. Some divisions are lit on the circles. You need to align the next circle with the stationary one so that the lit divisions match. Ignore the shape, you're only interested in the position and number. However, the last two disks don't match in number. The principle here is even simpler. Evaluate where there are more lit divisions in which zones — align with those that also have more. All this is done by eye without any logical system. More to more.
The platform with the necessary lever will light up. Pull it. Then you will need to return to the console again. The number of divisions should match on the outermost circle and the next one. Distribute the remaining two by eye, more to more. The lever will light up again, and you need to pull it again.
The whole system will repeat for the third time. Now you need to pull the lever in the center and watch the cutscene.
You are playing as Linda, who, together with Sam, is looking for Madison and Stan. Sam will ask what Augustina offered Linda for the tape.
- Demandingly (if you want to change the topic to Sam);
- Sadly (if you want to tell Sam the truth).
Our choice is Sadly. Follow Sam, then to the left. The former sheriff will feel unwell, and you have a choice of what to take from him — a bag or a diary.
You will have to decide quickly. It seems that either option only affects the dialogue and does not change the plot drastically. We chose the diary. Quickly press the button to easily pull it out of his jacket. A sheet will fall out of the diary. You need to quickly press the button again to put it away, otherwise, Sam will realize you were rummaging through his pockets. A dialogue choice will appear:
- Supportively (if you want to support Sam);
- Resisting (if you doubt Sam's usefulness);
- Concernedly — will appear because of the diary (if you want to ask Sam about the information in the diary).
Our choice is Concernedly.
Sam will disappear, go forward. There will be a panel on the right wall that you can interact with. It's an archive. Walk around the shelves. You need to find a stack of T-shirts.
On the shelf opposite is a fake hand from the movie. Also, on the floor in the next row lies the relic Nurse.
Opposite, on the boxes, is an old newspaper.
At the end of the hall, to the right of the table, is an old lamp.
Now approach the table and interact with it.
Watch the cutscene, the chapter is complete.
Chapter 9. Descent of the Damned/Hunting Grounds. 1980
Play as young Linda. Squeeze through the gap in the wall. Ahead are the restrooms, but there's nothing there. Immediately go through the door on the right.
In the new room, you can crawl through on the right. Immediately turn left and left again — there is a locker with a key.
Crawl back. On the left, you can squeeze through. There are also lockers there, one of which is available for interaction. Unlock it with the key. Inside is a note.
On the right, you can jump over an obstacle and then go through the doors.
The passage is blocked by hot steam. You need to fix two pumps. Approach the first one to update the task. You need two parts.
Return to the previous room. Now you can take a part from another locker.
The second part will be in one of the toilet stalls.
Return to the pumps. Turn the lever on the one to the right so that the arrow is on the red division. Then turn the left one the same way. The passage is open. Go down and pass through the door, then left and right into the corridor. On the right in the room behind the bars on the floor is a dog collar.
Go back and crawl through on the right. Crawl under the pipes until you reach a room. Ahead will be another corridor. Go immediately to the left. On the right wall is a door and another crawl space. You will enter a room where on the table lies Stone's diary.
Here on the wall is a drawing.
A little further ahead, the passage is blocked by an iron sheet. Move it to get into the maniac's lair. On the table to the right is a note, and ahead in the cage is the relic Doctor.
Return to the previous room, the door is on the left. You will enter a corridor you have already been in. There will be stairs on the right — go up. End of chapter.
Chapter 10. In the House of Madness. 2024
You play as Chris, who appeared through a portal in 2024. Madison helped her. A dialogue will begin:
- Seriously (if you want to say that Bonnie is Jaime's sister);
- Puzzled (if you're surprised that Bonnie is Madison's mother).
Our choice is Seriously.
Madison will offer Chris to return to her time:
- Hopefully (if you want to try);
- Fearfully (if you don't want to go back).
Our choice is Hopefully, as Chris is more likely to die in 2024. To save her, you must definitely send the girl back.
When the time machine starts, quickly press the button to break off the lever handle. End of chapter.
Chapter 11. All Paths Must Cross. 1980
You continue to play as Chris. She returned to her time. Exit the machine shop through the door ahead. In the next room, you have already been, go through the gate on the right. Chris will find Linda:
- Concernedly (if you want to ask Linda what's happening);
- Insistently (if you want to discuss where you are).
Our choice is Concernedly. After the cutscene, the chapter will end.
Chapter 12. The Loop Tightens. 2024
You play as Madison, who stayed with Stan. Go down the corridor to the left. There will be a room available for exploration — a bedroom.
On the left on the dresser is a music box, examine it. On the nightstand to the left of the bed lies a medallion. Here, apparently, there is some plot inconsistency. Madison will have a choice:
- Confidently (if you want to keep the medallion for yourself);
- Indifferently (if you don't mind giving the medallion to Stan).
We are shown a memory from the previous chapter, where the book contained information about the protective properties of amulets. That is, the medallion should, in theory, protect against the impending danger, but in practice, it does not help and even harms. We will explain the situation in more detail later. In this particular scene, give the medallion to Stan.
Opposite the bed on the table is a book. Flip through it, a key will fall out. Use it to wind up the music box. A secret door will open. Go through the new path and you will find yourself in another corridor.
Turn left and find a tape recorder with a cassette. Listen to it. A little ahead on the right side, you can find the relic Twins. A little further ahead, also on the right side, is a drawer with the trinket Sacrificial Knife. Now you can return to the exit from the secret passage. On the right will be large doors — the exit from the zone.
You will find Linda and Sam. They are arguing about the tape:
- Resisting (if you doubt Sam's words);
- Supporting (if you trust Sam).
Our choice is Supporting.
Stan will say that he already made a deal with Augustina because he didn't know the truth.
- Understandingly (if you can understand Stan);
- Angrily (if Stan's behavior makes you angry).
Our choice is Understandingly. End of chapter.
Chapter 13. Deadly Factory. 1980
You play as Linda. After a short cutscene, Frank will attack. Use the camera to drive him away from Chris. Immediately after, Bonnie will die. This will happen regardless of your decisions, unfortunately.
We move to 2024, playing as Linda again. Everything that happened in 1980 was a movie for the characters.
- Reassuringly (if you want to calm Madison);
- Angrily (if you realized that this wasn't in your version).
Our choice is Reassuringly.
After the cutscene, you play as Sam still in the past. Go forward to examine Bonnie's corpse.
After the cutscene, go right and pick up the camera from the floor, you will need it. Here you can crawl through a gap in the bricks. Go right to the stairs. Climb up and turn left. No one is attacking you yet.
There will be a turn and a ledge on the right, which you need to jump over. Keep moving forward until the camera starts sparking. This is an indicator that the monster is approaching. As soon as it appears, drive it away by filming.
Move forward until there's a ledge on the right, highlighted by orange light. Behind it, you will find the wounded Jaime, if the boy survived. Also in this corridor on the floor on the right side lies the relic Spirit. Be prepared that right after finding Jaime, you will have to fend off Stone again. Do this quickly, or the guy will die.
Return to the main corridor and proceed until there's a staircase down on the left. Descend and crawl through the gap. Chris will appear immediately. In our case, there will be just a dialogue in which Sam persuades the girl to hide. If you had taken the mirror from the antique shop owner, the scene would be more complicated.
There's nothing else here, return to the main path and move straight, then right, and then left and down the stairs. Now right again and left. Be careful here, Frank will appear again. Go to the end and turn right. There will be another gap, and behind it a corridor with the relic Ghost.
Now go back a bit along the main corridor and jump over the ledge. Ahead is the door and the exit from the zone. You found Linda. Frank will appear, and you need to press the button in time. Then get ready to film as usual. Sam will save everyone and defeat Stone. End of chapter.
Chapter 14. The Gerant Estate Massacre. 2024
This is the last and most problematic chapter. There are many potential deaths here. You play as Sam. Choice:
- Accuse Augustina;
- Dispute with Stan.
Our choice is Accuse Augustina.
Frank will start to escape from the film and immediately grab Stan. A quick button press event will appear, but there's a nuance. You must fail this test and consciously sacrifice Stan. The game will not count this as a negative outcome. Logically, this can't be explained, so just follow the guide.
Sam will have a choice:
- Sacrifice himself;
- Run away.
And again, you must not interfere with Stan's death and run away.
You play as Linda. She and Madison are trying to start the elevator. After unsuccessful attempts, go forward down the corridor to the end. On the left is a small box with a trinket Smith's Hammer.
Return to the elevator. On the left, there will be a door through which you can enter the room with the generator. The device is broken, and you have limited time to find the parts. Examine the table and pick up Augustina's ID, and there's also a part there. The second part will be nearby on the opposite table. Quickly fix the generator, after which a cutscene will start. Stone will appear. Linda will have a choice:
- Help Madison;
- Run away.
Be sure to help, otherwise both heroines will die. After this, Madison will go up in the elevator, and Linda will run further.
Control will switch to Madison. She will meet Augustina. After the dialogue, choose the Fiercely option — it is the only correct one to save the girl. This is where the amulet factor comes into play. If you had kept the find from the bedroom, Augustina would have been able to hypnotize Madison, but now she will escape.
You will have to press buttons in time several times to escape from Stone. During this, Madison will meet Sam. You will have a choice:
- Try to help (if you want to help Sam);
- Run away.
Be sure to choose Run away, only then will the girl be saved. Now play as Sam. There will be an important series of timely button presses. If you make a mistake, the former sheriff will die. If you do everything correctly, he will also be saved. Linda will run away automatically.
After the cutscene, control will switch back to Madison. You are in the forest. Go from one lit point to another until the road splits into two paths. One leads to the final bonfire, the other to the door from the girl's dream, which you saw at the beginning of the game. Go through the door to find the relic Trickster.
Now go to the bonfire. On the stump on the right will be a ring. Watch the cutscene and credits. After them, there will be another small scene, at the end of which you will find the last relic Champion. Congratulations, the game is over, all characters are alive, and you have found all the collectibles.
