PS5 update brings themes and sounds from previous PlayStation generations

Sony has released a fresh update for the PS5, adding something special for those who experienced previous generations of PlayStation consoles. Gamers can now customize the startup animation and system sounds.

In celebration of PlayStation's 30th anniversary, PS5 owners have «limited-time» access to themes from PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, and a special anniversary design.

«You can change parts of the PS5 design based on your favorite generation of PlayStation. Select a design to apply to your home screen and other areas», — the description reads.

Recently, Sony also released an atmospheric video to commemorate the 30th anniversary of PlayStation, featuring footage from iconic games across different generations.
