NVIDIA Officially Announces New Graphics Cards — RTX 5090 Costs Twice as Much as RTX 5080

As expected, during the CES 2025 event, NVIDIA officially announced the new GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards, which include the following models: 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070. These new cards are built on the Blackwell architecture.

Official Pricing:

  • RTX 5090 — $1999 (available from January 30);
  • RTX 5080 — $999 (available from January 30);
  • RTX 5070 Ti — $749 (available in February);
  • RTX 5070 — $549 (available in February).

The graphics cards feature a revamped design in the Founders Edition versions, equipped with dual dual-flow fans, 3D vapor chambers, and GDDR7 memory.

It is reported that the RTX 5090's performance is twice that of the RTX 4090.

  • RTX 5090 — 21,760 CUDA cores, 32 GB VRAM, 512-bit bus, max resolution 4K at 480 Hz or 8K at 120 Hz DSC;
  • RTX 5080 — 10,752 CUDA cores, 16 GB VRAM, 256-bit bus, max resolution 4K at 480 Hz or 8K at 120 Hz DSC;
  • RTX 5070 Ti — 8,960 CUDA cores, 16 GB VRAM, 256-bit bus, max resolution 4K at 480 Hz or 8K at 120 Hz DSC;
  • RTX 5070 — 6,144 CUDA cores, 12 GB VRAM, 192-bit bus, max resolution 4K at 480 Hz or 8K at 120 Hz DSC.

Recommended PSU Power:

  • RTX 5090 — 1000W (TDP 575W);
  • RTX 5080 — 850W (TDP 360W);
  • RTX 5070 Ti — 750W (TDP 300W);
  • RTX 5070 — 650W (TDP 250W).
