Long-Awaited The Binding of Isaac Update Adds Co-Op Mode
The popular roguelike The Binding of Isaac has received a free update, Repentance+, introducing full online co-op gameplay. The update is available as a separate download on Steam, but developers note that all previous DLCs are required to play.
The co-op mode supports up to four players and includes several adjustments for multiplayer. In online play, defeated bosses drop items for all players, and fallen teammates can be revived in the starting room of each floor. However, the cost of revival increases each time, though defeating a boss will also revive the team.
The update also improves certain items and adds various quality-of-life features, such as the ability to make teammates transparent. A full list of changes is available here.
As of now, Repentance+ holds a 77% rating on Steam. Some players have reported issues with unstable connections and broken controls on the Steam Deck.
