The Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos to Get Major Update with New Content
In honor of the third anniversary of the release of a large-scale mod for Gothic 2 called The Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos, the team of the fan addon released a teaser for update 2.0. In a short video, the developers showed what awaits players in the future.
The Mod of The Decade Edition update will be released «when it is ready». So far, the creators of The Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos are not ready to name the exact release dates, since it is delayed for professional and personal reasons. Judging by the teaser, version 2.0 will be a major update with many new mechanics, a customization system, a reworked mage branch, new locations, quests and opponents, as well as other surprises.
Mod of The Decade Edition (aka update 2.0) will be released simultaneously with the free Hardcore Mode DLC. The developers noted that it is not necessary to enable hardcore mode for full immersion in the gameplay.
Recall that The Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos is a virtually independent game based on Gothic 2, designed for 60 hours of gameplay. The mod gives players the opportunity to explore the island of Archolos as a hero named Marvin, immersing them in a completely new history of the Gothic world.
Earlier, the developers of Gothic 1 Remake shared new screenshots, which depict familiar locations like the Xardas Tower and some heroes from the original.
