EA Shows Teaser for Updated Versions of The Sims and The Sims 2. They Are Set to Release in the Coming Days
Kotaku has confirmed that Electronic Arts (EA) is preparing remastered editions of the first two installments of The Sims. The company has already started teasing the project, timed to coincide with the franchise's 25th anniversary.
In the teaser video, viewers can see a "time travel" mode being activated, after which the emerald at the center of the screen turns dark green, reminiscent of the original game. Following the teaser, the team also updated their social media profile on X (formerly Twitter).
Sources close to Kotaku have reported that the updated collection will be released by the end of this month. It will include the first two games along with all existing expansions.
Previously, EA announced the cancellation of The Sims 5. Instead of developing a full-fledged fifth installment, the company will focus on supporting the fourth game.
