Steam Users Slam Civilization 7 — Game Receives Only 39% Positive Reviews

On February 6, Sid Meier's Civilization 7 launched in early access for owners of the deluxe and higher-tier editions. As critics had warned, the new installment has been divisive, currently holding only 39% positive reviews on Steam.
Players have voiced numerous complaints, including an inconvenient UI, the absence of hotseat multiplayer, a limited selection of leaders, and controversial mechanics. The new civilization-switching system has been particularly criticized.
However, some believe the low ratings are unfair and praise changes like the removal of workers. In any case, judging such a complex strategy game after just a few hours of play might not be entirely objective.
The full release of Sid Meier's Civilization 7 is set for February 11.
