Banished

Banished is an indie strategy game with real-time simulation elements. Residents are your main resource. They are born, grow, do work, have offspring, and sooner or later die. Maintaining happiness, health, and provisions is essential to the growth of your town. Just building new houses is not enough — there must be enough people in the town to live in them. The game has 18 different crafts for the population of your city: from farmers and hunters to blacksmiths, teachers and healers. There is no universal strategy in the game — the amount of resources on the maps is different each time. The player can replant forests, build mines for iron and quarries for stone, but such tactics will mean reducing the precious space needed for expansion.
