The Chester F. Carlson YMCA Metrocenter was built in 1983 in downtown Rochester, New York. It served as a community, fitness and early learning center for several decades. Activities included aerobics, swimming, sauna, handball and racquetball courts, a gym and an indoor track. Due to financial challenges during the pandemic, the Metro Center YMCA has decided to limit all future operations to child care and early childhood education services.
