A modder has created a modification that turns the iconic first-person shooter into a bloody third-person slasher. In the comments to the video, gamers write that the game is now similar to the Devil May Cry series.
The mod contains a fully 3D character model and various animations for destroying enemies in melee using the Crucible from Doom Eternal. As noted by DSOGaming, this mod looks retro-cool.
Currently the modification is still being finalized. The final build will contain three types of melee weapons (including the Nightwatcher's Spear and Marauder's Axe) and guns from Doom 2.
The modder also plans to implement boss fights with the Marauder and the Icon of Sin.
Моддер создал модификацию, которая превращает культовый шутер от первого лица в кровавый слэшер от третьего лица. В комментариях к ролику геймеры пишут, что теперь игра похожа на серию Devil May Cry.
Мод содержит полностью трехмерную модель персонажа и разнообразные анимации уничтожения врагов в ближнем бою с помощью Горнила из Doom Eternal. Как отмечают в издании DSOGaming, выглядит этот мод ретро-круто.
Сейчас модификация все еще находится в стадии доработки. Финальный билд будет содержать в себе три вида оружия для ближнего боя (включая копье ночного стража и топор мародера) и пушки из Doom 2.
Также моддер планирует реализовать босс-файты с Мародером и Иконой греха.
