A turn-based tactical strategy game set in the High Middle Ages from 1040 to 1270. The game centers on the heyday of chivalry, when heavily armed horsemen in dense formations crushed enemies with powerful spear attacks.
The main themes are the wars of the kings of France against England and the German emperors, the English conquests of Wales, Scotland and Ireland, the Baltic Crusades and the Mongol invasion of Eastern Europe. Dynastic conflicts and noble uprisings add to the constant atmosphere of military clashes.
