The game takes place on a once prosperous island that is mired in strife and banditry. In the game, you need to survive by developing combat skills and learning various stances, abilities, and combat tactics. Everyone can choose their own style - become a dexterous swordsman, a heavy knight in armor, or create a unique warrior's path. The environment also plays an important role in battles, allowing you to use space and objects to gain an advantage over your opponents.
Quests in the game are not accompanied by markers and detailed instructions, so exploring the world turns into a real adventure. Curiosity and attentiveness become the main tools, and every secret found and test passed makes the character stronger.

They did a good job, but there are some issues. It's been a while since we've seen a decent RPG. And then Of Ash and Steel came out. I was pleased with the game.

The spirit of Risen and the old classics is palpable. The world is meticulously crafted and filled with secrets and encounters in every corner. There's a sense of overcoming and exploration. The dialogue and voice acting in Russian are a real treat, and I've been waiting for its release for a long time.

I don't know about everyone else, but I really liked the game, even though I started playing right before patch 1.05 came out. I couldn't even enter the city; it crashed whenever I tried. But I did explore everything around me, and I finally reached the Frosty Location, the Freebooters, and Alpha and Omega. The world is wonderful, filled with all sorts of goodies and secrets that can be found everywhere: diving into a lake or river, you can find anything from valuable loot to an underwater cave, or climbing a waterfall and discovering loot or a cave. Isn't it lovely?! Lately, games have been coming out with ultra-high graphics, but when you start playing, you realize the world is beautiful but somehow empty, soulless... Не знаю как кому, а мне игра очень понравилась, даже не смотря на то, что начала играть сразу ,еще до выхода патча1.05, я даже в город войти не могла, вылетала при попытке входа. Но зато я усилено изучала все вокруг, добралась до Морозной локации ,до вольников и Альфы с Омегой)))). Мир чудесный ,насыщенный разными вкусностями и тайнами, которые можно найти везде: нырнув в озеро или реку можно найти все что угодно, от лута ценного, до подводной пещеры, забраться в водопад и обнаружить там лут или пещеру. Ну вот разве не прелесть?! Последнее время игры выходят с ультро графикой, а начинаешь играть и понимаешь, что мир красивый но как-то пустой, бездушный...
