Hardland

Hardland is an indie action-adventure game with elements of exploration in an open world with procedural generation. In the year of Our Elder King 1018, an adventurer from Samarkand drifts to Hardland. Now the eldest king is weakening. The imps in his Root Court offer a reward for tracking down the tough ogres, the elusive beasts that, according to legend, tore the last king to pieces. Scattered around the world, these shards can still change the course of history. But others are also vying for influence. The Queen of Snow Peak wants the throne for herself, and the forces from the shadows want Hardland to burn.

In this game you will be able to find clues for quests all over the world. Hints exist in dialogues, books, notes, descriptions of objects, dreams. Everywhere. There are no quest markers or active quest logs. You have to look for influential characters and dig into their stories. Use your sword with caution and don't ignore people or places. It is a world that reveals itself when you pay attention and piece together its knowledge.
